After being accepted to Emerson College, Sarah deferred for a semester to work as the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Political Communication at Emerson. During her first week, she attended the Democratic National Convention in Boston, where John Kerry was nominated for President. After three months in the role, Sarah became eligible for the employee tuition reimbursement program, allowing her to begin her graduate studies at Emerson for free.

In 2006, Sarah moved to Los Angeles for an internship with MTV Networks, where she was assigned to Comedy Central. She also worked as a script reader for Tobey Maguire’s production company*. She graduated from Emerson College with an MFA in Film and Visual Media, concentrating in Television Production, and seamlessly transitioned into a position as a television packaging assistant at Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

At CAA, Sarah became involved in an internal script-reading group and participated in packaging major projects like The Sopranos, Deadwood, House of Cards, Entourage and Juno. She was also selected for a business development task force focused on monetizing New Media, gaining early insights into the evolving entertainment landscape.

In 2008, Sarah left CAA to assist Showrunner Jon Harmon Feldman on the second season of ABC’s drama Dirty Sexy Money, starring Donald Sutherland, Peter Krause, Lucy Liu, and Blair Underwood. She continued working with Feldman and Greg Berlanti's team until 2012, contributing to multiple projects, including writing for the ABC superhero series No Ordinary Family.**

Sarah then joined Craig Ferguson and Tracey Pakosta's development company, Green Mountain West, at CBS Studios, where she was promoted to Manager of Development. Working alongside Rebecca Tucker, Sarah developed several projects, including a sitcom for CBS and a comedy special.

In 2012, Sarah joined the writing staff of VH1’s scripted sports drama Hit the Floor, staying with the show until 2019. She wrote and produced five episodes and was credited on 41, while also producing supplementary content, including web series and social media campaigns for VH1 and BET.

Sarah also created and directed the 11-episode series Dancers' Diaries for VH1, featuring stars such as Allison Holker-Boss, Taylour Paige, and Courtney Galiano-Platt. The series, part of a female empowerment campaign, reached over 16 million viewers.

In addition to her screenwriting work, Sarah collaborated closely with dancer Courtney Galiano-Platt, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, to produce events for the charity BeatMS. She is also the chair of OneLegacy Inspires, where she helps produce events that raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Her writing has been featured in The Boston Globe, The Lowell Sun, LA Times, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Forbes, and numerous other print and online publications.

During the pandemic, Sarah utilized her real estate licenses in both Massachusetts and California to sell over $40 million in real estate, helping friends and family build wealth through strategic investments. She then wrote a script about the cut throat world of luxury real estate, called SELLOUTS, which is currently in development.
